Our Services

Safe and Loving Shelter

We provide a secure, stable home for 300 children, offering dormitories where they feel safe, cared for, and treated with dignity. This environment gives them the comfort and structure of a true family.

Nutritious Meals

Children are served three healthy meals daily—breakfast, lunch, and supper—prepared with love. Most of the food is sourced from our ministry farm, which grows bananas, cassava, beans, maize, and more.

Free Primary Education

SSM operates a fully functional Nursery to Primary Seven school where children receive free quality education. We also provide essential scholastic materials like books, pens, school bags, and textbooks to support their learning.

Sustainable Farming

To promote self-reliance, we engage children and staff in farming activities. The harvest not only feeds the children but also teaches them agricultural skills and the importance of responsibility and teamwork.

Spiritual Nourishment

Being a Christian-based organization, we teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Bible studies, discipleship, and weekly chapel services every Wednesday and Sunday. Children grow in faith, purpose, and love.

Clothing & Hygiene Support

Each child is given proper clothing, shoes, bed sheets, and hygiene essentials such as soap, toothbrushes, and mosquito nets—ensuring both comfort and cleanliness.

Basic Medical Care

We offer free basic healthcare for all children, including first aid, treatment for common illnesses, and hygiene education. Our in-house nurse ensures that children receive timely care and live in a clean, sanitary environment.

Emotional Support and Care

We understand the emotional trauma that comes with losing parents and living in hardship. That’s why we provide consistent emotional care, counseling, and a loving environment where children can heal, smile, and regain a sense of worth.

Life Skills and Mentorship

We mentor children in life skills like personal hygiene, responsibility, teamwork, and self-respect. Older children are trained to help younger ones, instilling leadership and a spirit of service.

Springs of Smiles Ministry (SSM)

(SSM) is a registered nonprofit in Uganda, dedicated to supporting orphaned children with love, shelter, education, and spiritual guidance. Founded by Sebaggala Hassan, an orphan himself, SSM exists to spread smiles and hope to Uganda’s most vulnerable children.
